We also advise entrepreneurs, family businesses, and corporate entities large and small on commercial lending, as well as business organization, business purchases and sales, trademarks and IP, and litigation matters.
ESTATE PLANNING & PROBATE
Our probate practice encompasses modest to multi-million dollar estates. We represent clients in estate planning to ensure that their intentions are accurately expressed in their estate plans. In estate administration, we counsel personal representatives to implement those wishes, guiding them through the estate administration process and fostering cordiality among family members. We have also handled contentious matters such as will contests, paternity contests, accounting, breaches of fiduciary duty and the identification of heirs at law. At one time our firm maintained the largest case portfolio of equity matters pending before the Suffolk County Probate and Family Court.
REAL ESTATE & DEVELOPMENT
We serve as legal counsel of some of the most active minority owned developers of inner-city properties in the Boston area. We advise both new and established developers on all aspects of the purchase, sale, and development of commercial and residential properties, including financing, land acquisition, zoning, construction, refinancing, and sales & leasing.
ZONING & LICENSING
We have significant experience in zoning and licensing, representing clients before both state and local administrative bodies such as the Zoning Board of Appeal, Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA), Inspectional Services Department (ISD), the Licensing Board, the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission, the Cannabis Control Commission, and the Consumer Affairs Division.
