FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATIONS & NON-PROFIT

We are blessed to count as among our valued clients numerous non-profit organizations, and particularly, dozens of churches throughout New England. We are one of few law firms that maintains a thriving Faith-based Organizations practice. Because many of our attorneys are active members of their own churches, we understand the unique legal issues that faith-based entities can face.

We represent churches and faith-based organizations in a variety of matters, including organizational & corporate governance, financings/refinancings, acquisitions and dispositions of church real estate holdings, development and construction on church property, formation of church-related non-profit entities and obtaining/maintaining 501(c)(3) status, and contract disputes and litigation with 3rd parties. Our attorneys provide quality legal services while applying principles of compassion and understanding. As a result, we have become trusted legal advisors to not only churches and their auxiliary entities, but also to a large number of clergy and congregants.
